Donna Ford is the Executive Chef/ CEO of Sweet Memories Bakery and Crave Event Caterers. She began designing cakes as a small child when her mother accidentally left cake-decorating supplies from a class on the kitchen table. As she experimented, Donna discovered her passion and unique talent for cake artistry. After relocation to North Carolina, Donna decided to follow her passion designing and creating extraordinary sculptural cake masterpieces.
Donna has worked with world class event planners and chefs. She was honored to design events for celebrity entertainers and clientele. Her unique cake designs have been featured in a variety of prominent publications, televisions shows, films and commercials.
Donna is active in the event community and has served on the Board of Directors for the Triangle Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE). She is a member of the International Cake Exploration Society (ICES) and the Apex and Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
Recently, Donna had the honor of being selected to share her knowledge and expertise while conducting main stage seminars and co-producing the award winning events “Anthology” and A Night at the Marquee” for the National 2010 and 2011 CaterSource Conference in Las Vegas. Additionally, Donna and her pastry team have been featured on Food Networks Challenge “Giant Wedding Cakes” and were Speakers at the National Association of Catering Executive Experience 2010 in Austin, TX.
